Vision
The Law Department seeks to occupy a prominent and distinguished position among the college’s departments and works to gain everyone’s trust by providing a stable environment for education, scientific research, and community service. Its existence is linked to the existence of the law that regulates the relationship between its individuals and eliminates the aspects of conflict between its various interests. Accordingly, it is not possible to imagine the existence of a society without legal knowledge. Therefore, it always seeks to achieve the highest levels of international excellence, scientific research and teaching.
Mission
Spreading the legal culture in society and working to prepare jurists who will be responsible for achieving justice and its stability in society. Spreading the culture of protecting human rights and establishing the protection of public freedoms in Iraqi society, fighting financial corruption, and raising the level of the Iraqi individual with his rights and obligations. As well as preparing lawyers who will defend the oppressed in the Iraqi judiciary, facilitate the revelation of the truth, and be qualified to carry this message.
Objectives
The Law Department aims to prepare a generation specialized in legal culture and high qualifications in law and to encourage research in the branches of legal sciences affecting society and the state in the legislative, executive and judicial fields, as well as the practice of legal professions in various fields of public service. Providing legal and specialized advice, such as explaining laws, expressing legal opinions on judicial decisions and rulings, and providing legal advice and information to those who desire it in a way that achieves justice and reveals the truth. Encouraging students to carry out scientific research in all areas of legal specialization through writing and publishing scientific research.
